Richard Chris Andus passed away August 27, 2016 holding his sweetheart’s hand with his family by his side and in his heart. Richard married the love of his life Linda K. Norton on January 17, 1976 in Sandy, Utah. They shared over 40 years of happiness, trials, and hardship but through it all family meant everything to them. He was a husband, father, grandfather (Poppa), and great grandfather.

Throughout most of his life Richard was a long haul truck driver who made the most out of family time when he was home. He dedicated his life to giving his family everything he could. His home was his castle and the playground for his grandchildren.

Dad loved hunting, fishing, and gardening; he enjoyed teaching his grandkids the tricks of the trade. He spent many hours in the garage teaching them to swing a hammer and use power tools, as well as in the kitchen making cookies.

Richard is survived by his wife Linda, their five wonderful children: Mickelle Hunt (Jesse), Traci Lish (Ryan), Jonathan Andus (Jessica), Jesse Andus, Tamera Howard (Cody), 18 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his Parents Richard and Sheron Andus and his brothers Steven Andus and Erick Andus. Richard was preceded in death by his best friend and little brother Robert (Bobby) Andus and his wonderful grandparents.

We as a family would like to thank all of the staff, doctors, nurses, PA’s, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and all of the specialists at Riverton Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center who helped our dad during this unexpected and difficult time. Our family would not have made it through this without your love and concern.

A celebration of life for Richard will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Richard and Linda’s home, 1758 W. 12210 S., Riverton, UT from 2-5 P.M.

We love you dad and we will miss you. – Until we meet again.
